Politico is reporting Trump will name Dr. Ladapo of Florida to a senior spot, likely Surgeon General or Assistant HHS.

This would be a horrifying pick for trans people. He's responsible for Florida's adult trans ban, and works with SEGM/Anti-trans global movement.

He's also an ardent anti-vaxxer.

Susan Collins is not doing what’s right for the state of Maine, and hardworking Mainers are literally paying the price—housing, health care, groceries, and electric bills are all too high and getting worse. I believe Governor Mills will win next year and put Mainers first by addressing these pressing issues.

“I got into this race for the same reason I started Maine Beer Company—to ‘Do What’s Right.’ That motto has guided me in business and is why we paid a living wage from Day One, cover 100% of health care costs and provide retirement benefits for our full-time employees, and share our success with the community. You’re interpreting what I’m saying in terms I’m not using. No where do I say it’s worthless. It’s just an L. A loss. We learn a lot in losses, more than wins arguably.

I get that. But also it just reminds me of people who say “why did hamas attack oct 9th, they should have peacefully protested”, when in fact they had repeatedly done that for years, each time losing more people.

I guess historically no one broadly agrees it’s “time for violence”.

They’re about to undo birthright citizenship, the literal specific provision the confederacy had to agree to to be allowed back into the United States union. Something that took a civil war to achieve.

That’s literally the south rising again. I’m saying things are on an inevitable path to violence.

To be clear: optics won’t sway hogs who were cool with deportations. Economics of it may, at best.

Even once swayed, my point is that fascism doesn’t leave without an inevitable physical fight. There will be state violence, made up pretense or real so stop policing ppls militance.

This position fails to understand our current moment by failing to understand historical fascism.

Critically: fascism arrives democratically, but it remains in power thru use of force, coercion, and legal shenanigans. Optics cease to matter bc fair elections are over.

But Samantha literally isn't saying that. She's saying the point is to further delegitimize the regime by goading them into overreacting to peaceful protesters. Images of them brutalizing a priest, a grandma, a person in a frog costume, etc., is bad imagery for them.

I’m a big military aircraft guy. Also maps are totally my thing. Definitely how my own AuDHD shows up.

Genuinely tho I was just saying military aircraft are a lot easier to ID. Blackhawks are loud as hell by comparison to any typical police helicopter bc the latter have noise restrictions.

A Blackhawk looks/sounds nothing like a civilian life flight helicopter, but fair.

If you’re the type of person whose autism doesn’t manifest in a deep interest in identifying helicopters, definitely don’t do what you definitely already shouldn’t do.
