You right-wing freaks are just going to keep pushing this narrative, aren't you?

“Who was president in 2020?” remains one of the most pertinent questions in American politics—absurd, yes, but here we are—and that extends to “who was president January 1 - 19, 2021?”

That’s a nice trick, since Biden wasn’t the president on Jan 6.

What on earth are you talking about? Trump was still president.

Nobody talks about mom when her hands rise to cover her face. Where did she go?

I’m currently at a pop culture convention with 120k+ attendees where there’s Game of Thrones stuff literally everywhere, and the Marvel TV panel was so overpacked they had to shut down the floor. But I will agree people do not talk about Succession quite as often as when it was airing every week.
Nobody really talks about Succession anymore. Or Game of Thrones. Sort of confirms my thesis that, with rare exceptions, television does not really matter.

Both the more long-term rot and the very recent decay, perfectly captured: Thiessen has been producing disingenuous reactionary garbage for years at WaPo - that, in fact, was his entire mission. But until recently, excellent people were also writing opinions for them. They're gone. His ilk is left.

it would probably be sorta hard for just anyone to do it *this well* because it requires you to actually be normal about trans people, but still it feels important to state for the record that WE ARE NOT HARD TO STAND UP FOR AND ANY OF THEM COULD DO IT.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai Trump just launched a YouTube series called "1 on 1 with Kai" and the first one-hour episode is her playing golf with the president.

I haven't watched the whole thing, but I think it's safe to say it's not going to be breaking any vital news.
Donald Trump in a golf cart with his granddaughter Kai and an on-screen graphic that reads "What's your favorite color?" Below that is a caption from when he asked "color?" His answer was "maybe red."

"Depends on who you ask" framing is one of the most grating tics in modern political journalism. Objective reality exists and your job is to describe it.

A classic case of irresponsible both-sidesism from the NYT. The story is that Trump and MAGA propagandists are lying about Portland to incite a conflict, not that there are different views of the matter.

Mamdani talking lucidly and passionately about trans rights and history in a video that should frankly shame every politician who has hemmed and hawed and triangulated and said, "Well, but sports..." It's not that hard to tell the truth and stand for what's right. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEvV...

That a politician would be standing up for trans people in this moment is deeply important and meaningful.
