Orioles outfielder Tyler O’Neill has opted into the remainder of his three-year contract in Baltimore, per source. He had an opt-out possibility following the 2025 season.
O’Neill signed last winter for three years and $49.5 million. He hit .199 this year, battling injury

The Orioles should be able to absorb the salaries of one of the top FA starters (30-35M) and a high leverage reliever like Raisel Iglesias or Ryan Helsley (12-14M) and still have 30-50M left for other moves.
That should really be the baseline for this winter. No good excuse not to do that + depth.

I'm convinced this is a good hire. I think I feel better about this than I would have if the #Orioles hired someone like Ryan Flaherty or Albert Pujols... But nobody can convince me that this paragraph makes ANY goddam sense.

Craig Albernaz was a finalist for both the Marlins & White Sox manager openings last year, but ultimately decided to return to Cleveland as his friend Stephen Vogt’s assistant manager.
A year later, he has apparently decided that the Baltimore Orioles are the right fit.

Orioles have expressed interest in hiring Albert Pujols as their new manager, per @Alden_Gonzalez

Ive been trying to put myself in Phillies fans shoes and imagine the Orioles season ending on a throwing error with 2 outs in the bottom of the 11th and it’s making me sick for them

The Yankees need to make some changes.
Firing Aaron Boone or Brian Cashman shouldn't be among them, Ken Rosenthal writes.

So having an abundance of starting pitching is advisable.
Take note Orioles.

Plus … yes, had to write about why the Dodgers should be working harder to dodge their actual relief pitchers. bandwagon.substack.com/p/80-paranoi...
