Obviously impossible to disentangle the experience of SciAm's (predictable) ubiquity in my household from my experience being a child, but a) this article smacks of payola or a command from corporate higher ups for favorable AI coverage, and b) collapse of magazine industry probably had an impact

2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Maybe this post made sense within the microcosm of your specific circumstances but it's extremely incorrect and unbelievably condescending. I find it embarrassing that a supposed academic so easily fell into the trap of false dichotomies based on an unresearched, surface level understanding
