Hey peoples. I'm asking for help, hopefully for the last time for a bit.

I should be getting a decent paycheque on Friday, but we're basically out of food. We already used the Food Bank about a week and a half ago, so it's too soon to revisit.

Could anybody help us with getting some groceries?

Yes, he did take down Hitler, he also made a point to show the concentration camps lest history bury them.

He also lead Operation Wetback; lead to the overthrowing of the democratically elected Jacobo Arbenz on behalf of Dole, despite Arbenz not even being socialist; and so many other things.

As smart phone companies become more overwhelmingly capitalist-capitulatory, if we're going to see an increase in phone FOSS as well as an equivalent "app store" for FOSS apps and emulators for compatibility thereof?

Seems like the next logical step as more people jump to Linux on other computers.

People give a lot more praise for western queer works then those across the pacific. I understand why (there's more expected cultural crackdown of western media, so defiance of that feels stronger), but that's still a bias people should disabuse themselves from.

I get that the AI bubble is the last ace in the hole for the tech industry (if not the US economy proper), but this is as infuriating as this is pathetic.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.
