Scientists pool their resources and secretly bring George Washington back from the dead to save the country. But he’s too obsessed with everyone not wearing wigs.

I gave a public talk today about the engineering profession's responsibility to the public. I showed this picture and said, "the Administration is demolishing an entire wing of the White House today."

The federal shutdown is now about to affect millions of people who use SNAP - the food stamp program - and those same people cannot afford their energy bills. To get every dollar in people's pockets to go to food, not utility corporations, we need an emergency ban on shutoffs.
If you're looking for an action to take tomorrow that can help protect millions of people regardless of their immigration status, call your governor to demand a ban on utility shutoffs this winter. Every state has slightly different policy– we got you covered.
Here's your guide to fighting utility shutoffs this winter. W/o the gov't open, few to no states will have funds for emergency bill payment program LIHEAP. This doc has scripts, state context, contact info for governors & commissions, everything you need. Please call! docs.google.com/document/d/1...

I could not agree more.
And it’s not a blue vs red state issue at all btw. Utterly vile, a sign of massive incompetence.
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

NEW — I'm suing DC Metro Police for the full body cam footage from the DOGE raid on the US Institute of Peace back in March.

The public deserves to know why MPD chose to sell out the people they’re tasked with protecting in order to bend to Trump's will. I'm repped pro bono by @rcfp.org.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, which serve ~42 million low-income Americans, will be suspended in some states by Nov. 1 if the shutdown continues.

The Republican budget bill signed this July has also already cut the program by an estimated $186 billion over 10 years.

Find your local food bank and start a sustaining donation. Some states will rework their budgets to partially cover the shortfalls; many cannot at all.

I’m sorry that happened. But heat pumps are still a much better choice for people transitioning from oil than gas most of the time.

It sounds like the Republicans should stop protecting Bill Clinton and release the Epstein files.
Comer: The evidence we gathered does not implicate President Trump in any way. Public reporting, survivor testimony, and official documents show that Bill Clinton had far closer ties to Epstein

They do!! Heat pumps are quiet, efficient, and totally replaced our ancient oil furnace in our 1938 house. Heat pumps are magic.
