we've reached a saturation point where furry art is so ubiquitous and so popular that it's created a sort of stylistic inbreeding. the thing I'd like to see more of is artists who are looking at stuff outside the bounds of the typical interests of the fandom - stuff outside of even my own interests

art in the fandom can be incredibly inward-facing. artists can, and often do, have all the technical skills of a pro illustrator, but are incredibly limited thematically and stylistically by a clear aversion to drawing on artistic influences outside the fandom/contemporary media (anime, etc).

in 1968 sottsass designed the prettiest manual typewriter ever released (imo), the Olivetti Valentine. this is one of my holy grail things to get someday.

(for his part, sottsass later disliked the valentine and said it was a failure bc he wanted it to be cheap and disposable, not just art)

hell yeah! theo put some Statement LEDs in your old bedroom and it looks really sharp.

biggest thing i can suggest to improve the space beyond that is a tad annoying to do but really helps more than youd think: put up curtains and use them instead of vertical blinds. makes the place look 'spensive
