The navy offered to teach me how to operate a nuclear reactor, which I thought would be cool. Navy wasn't very cool but it did get me into a reactor job, the proprietor of which went bankrupt within months of hiring me. So yeah I do datacenter stuff now? Those things certainly aren't going anywhere.

I worry at times that I'm giving too much power to a given hypnodom(me), but often I'm quickly reminded that my friends are goofy dorks so that's not really a problem. Like when they try to brainwash me to watch their favorite Netflix series so they'll have someone to talk about it with.

So much of the insane shit that elves did in the Tolkienverse was from like, lacking in stimulation. They had already done everything so they were straight up inventing new things to do. Sauron got an elven smith to forge The Rings just because magic rings were a cool idea nobody had tried before.
