On Oct. 16, 1987, southern Britain’s landscape was unrecognizable. Overnight, the country had been hit by its fiercest storm in more than 300 years where at least 18 people were killed. No one — not even Britain’s trusted weather forecasters — had seen it coming.
How the UK’s Hurricane-Strength Storm of 1987 Became a Famous Weather Forecasting Failure
The Great Storm of 1987 was a forecasting blunder that left at least 18 people dead, felled 15 million trees and caused a billion pounds’ worth of damage.

Someone should let her know that she is currently the chair of the (normally) powerful Senate Appropriations Committee and do a lot more than weakly protest this shit.

Sen. Susan Collins says the White House should try to get their proposed spending cuts into appropriations bills.

“This end run is not helpful,” she says.

Collins adds that it “would be helpful” to reopening the govt if WH and OMB’s Russ Vought stop the rescissions.

This is the same Speaker who has repeatedly refused to put up the congressionally-mandated plaque honoring the Capitol Police members who were viciously assaulted by MAGA goons on January 6th.

We've seen your deeds, you oily liar.

I hate to think what boys and young men are learning from watching such behavior and how it makes girls and young women. Parents need to teach that this is not acceptable.
Tweet by Marlow Stern (@MarlowNYC) saying: “This is gross,” quote-tweeting Aaron Rupar. The embedded Rupar tweet reads: “Trump ignores a question from a woman reporter but says, ‘I just like to watch her talk. Good job. Thank you darling.’” Below is a photo of Donald Trump seated, speaking at a table with flags behind him, and captioned “Thank you, darling. I don’t know.”
