UPDATE: Dems lead every city council race in Aurora, Colorado - and could flip a 7-3 GOP majority into a 6-4 Dem edge - including what would be a shocking upset of MAGA media star Danielle Jurinsky, whose claims of a "complete gang takeover" led Trump to call Aurora "conquered." #copolitics

57% of all ad spending by Republicans in the Virginia governors race was on anti trans ads. Just an incredibly mismanaged campaign. Anti-trans politics are a losing issue.

Looking forward to learning all about how the right should move left to win elections tomorrow. They should maybe dye their hair pink, learn to love pronouns.

Note: This is not the exact quote — which is weird, since it's on video and the pope said it in English.

But the exact quote conveys roughly the same meaning, and goes arguably even harder by making an apparent reference to the detention of migrants with no criminal record.

Rush transcript here:
Okay but also the “odds” seem to have dropped by 2.3% (not clear if that’s percent or percentage points) but either way, probably doesn’t spell doom, even if they were 100% accurate and representative of the real world.

i don’t know how this gets prosecuted in the future, when all is said and done, but it’s a horrific crime that can’t be left to fester and normalize into our politics

Every Steelers game report is like "Aaron Rodgers was an efficient 23-39 for 108 yards and Jaylen Warren picked up 24 yards on 31 carries as the Steelers beat the Jags 13-7 thanks to 11 Jaguar fumbles inside their own 10 yard line."

No we haven’t done that, and if you hear that we have done that, we haven’t, says the most trustworthy administration in history.
Kristi Noem: "No American citizens have been arrested or detained. We focus on those who are here illegally. And anything you would hear or report that would be different than that is simply not true and false reporting."

The unitary executive theory does not include releasing emergency funds for food. That is simply beyond the power of the president. How dare you even suggest he could wield such power.

The contrast with SNAP is deafening.

The White House is stretching well beyond what anyone could claim is legal in order to pay the troops — while simultaneously stretching beyond what’s legal to NOT pay SNAP benefits.
The White House says it’s going to use procurement dollars to illegally pay the troops for rather than do it the legal way of enacting a military pay bill.

You cannot w/ a straight face tell me using procurement dollars to pay the military adheres to the purpose statute and the Antideficiency Act.

democrats of all stripes should be rallying around kat abughazaleh asap. it doesnt matter where you stand ideologically. trying to jail dissenters is fundamentally unamerican and 100% fascist. democratic leaders at all levels should be making noise about it. you dont need a poll or focus group.

Deadass Utah should give the money they’re spending on this to 1,300 houseless people. It would do so much more good. And it shows that this has nothing to do with money, but instead that those in power do not want to fix the problem.
Under Trump, the draconian future of homelessness policy is coming into focus: mass internment. Utah is building a 16-acre site to detain up to 1,300 homeless people inside locked "accountability centers." This is profoundly alarming.
