I live in the borders between. Total nerd & crackpot. Musician (electric harp, synth, etc.) interested in too many things: food, drink, nature, astronomy, history, languages, anthro-archaeo-paleontologies, movies (SFF-horror-comedy-arthouse), books, etc.!

A harp has strings. A harmonica does not. Sometimes slang is stupid.

There is a 'Mrs Phillip Lea' in Napier's records (1630s).

You might assume this was a married woman whose husband was called Phillip Lea.

But.

Mrs is simply an indicator of status, and Phillip was often a feminine name.

Assumptions take us down wrong paths!

Last week’s mission was Operation Word of Mouth.

This week, something different.

If you have supported my Bandcamp in any way throughout the past year, please take a few moments and write a review.

Not for me, but for others to know what they’re about to listen to.

Not on Archive.org, unfortunately, nor in my local library system. It looks like a job for World Cat, and interlibrary loan.

Now I will be obsessed with the thought of rose baklava.
It sounds like the perfect food!

You’re right, the food is the second thing that comes to mind. The first is music and dance.

In between Dunsany and King, Arthur C. Clarke wrote his own club tales about Harry Purvis. Although in Clarke’s case, they’re comedic.

I like how the news will be like “while the President claiming Portland was ruled by a giant skeleton named Mr Nibbles is not strictly true, it does speak to the anxiety of many Americans”

Oh, it’s okay to post a day late? Excellent. I was sorry to be missing Baba Yaga, as I don’t get back home until tomorrow.

Yep, that’s some drama! Very unfortunate for the workers, of course.

Blair Witch scared me so hard, it broke something inside. I saw it when it opened in theaters, and haven’t been able to experience the feeling of being scared by any movie since.

I won’t ever watch that one again, though.

Getting a crick in your neck is such a drag! I hope you can find something to help, because it surely does incapacitate you. I used to get them when I was younger, but at least I’ve been spared in my older years. So far.

If you’re going to go and use a word like “delectation,” I’m going to follow your account. And I even enjoyed the poem. Nice to meet you.
