How do you manage that? Multiple blankets? Do you not overheat? The heaviest blankets I’ve found are about 9kg, so that would be like 4 blankets. The weight sounds amazing, but I think I’d melt!

My favorite aspect of the Columbus legend is him getting rejected by the Portuguese gets spun as them not recognizing the genius of his idea. No - he went into a roomful of expert navigators and made basic math mistakes, they thought he was a moron, and they wouldn't fund his idea on that basis.

I’m one of those boring keep fitters. Running, swimming, riding, kayaking. You name it I do it. My body is falling apart due to injuries and wear and tear. My wife fucking hates excercise. She 3 months older than me and in perfect physical health.

I still think about when New Relic wrote a blog arguing that customers should leave vendors acquired by private equity (PE) b/c prices will go up+quality will go down. It was a stab at Sumo Logic just bought by PE.
