I have never been more disappointed in the DNC than over their response to these candidates. I am a lifelong Democrat. I am proud to be. But they are violating everything we believe in. Young people are on fire for democracy and they are trying to smother it for fear of losing power they don't use.

Federal officials telling social media companies to take down posts was supposedly a free speech crisis. It’s not even really hypocrisy, since the right was lying about much of it.

I've long known my last name was altered at some point, andbthe story as I understand it was likely due to anti-Polish sentiment while looking for work.

But I'm also adopted, so my connection to an issue like this is more abstract.

It's usually a good idea to have a softer touch communicating tho.

The myths surrounding ones own family are among the most personal myths people hold on to. Nobody is going to willingly call their ancestors liars because someone on a social media app told them to.

But anyone who starts digging into their ancestry will eventually come up against these stories.
