Like, the reason why I play this game is because there's a ton of 40k fans who clearly have not actually read much beyond 40k and, so, think their setting is the most crazy overpowered, over the top ludicrous setting ever and that's just not the case

when i was younger (20ish) I read hyperion and in it a character refers to a building as having been destroyed by a "hellwhip", the archaic term for a laser weapon and it permanently altered my perception of how sci-fi should be written

The thing about console exclusives is that people are getting the cause and effect mixed up. Console exclusives being a bigger thing back before inter-platform builds were really as possible, they were used by consoles as a selling point, and thus there was incentive to make a killer library

weird mortal kombat fact I know somehow: One of the bad guy characters, Kano, got a total redesign entirely because the 1990s movie cast a guy who was different from the games and everyone seemed to go, "Oh wait, that's way better" and just changed the games to fit that re-imagining
