In something completely unrelated, the Christian indoctrination of enslaved people was often done with bibles that removed the Book of Exodus. For no reason. I’m sure.

Baffling how someone could miss the entire African-American vote swap to FDR's New Deal or the Double Victory campaign, even with Dixiecrats shaping *how* New Deal policy was implemented
This is just garbage history. Blacks started voting Democratic under FDR because they benefited from New Deal programs even if unequally!
And the New Deal didn’t produce shit for Black folks. They didn’t gain anything until the Civil Rights Act & Voting Rights Act were passed & signed into law by LBJ.
And thanks to you dumbass leftists who refused to vote for Hillary in 2016, Trump got to put 3 Supreme Court justices to dismantle it.

"Why don't people support welfare programs?"

Racism. More specifically, anti-Blackness.

White folks asked about who welfare serves overestimate the number of Black people on welfare. Not only that, but just the mere THOUGHT of who welfare supports led less white people to support it. #blacksky

"That's so evil I don't believe you're telling me the truth" is such a specific problem with our electorate.
Recently my brother in law explained what gerrymandering was to a coworker and they didn’t believe him because if that were really happening there would be riots in the street
This week I had someone tell me they're not worried about SNAP being cut off because "that's illegal, so it's impossible Trump could do that, so obviously it's just media sensationalism." Another person told me they weren't worried about ICE because "they can't detain you if you're legally here."

If the US enforced even one tenth of what actually exists on paper vis a vis tax law the Israeli settlement movement would lose upwards of 40m USD a year in donations from American citizens lol

Why does the US believe that other countries should recognize Israel as having the right to exist "as a Jewish state"? What does it mean? And why is Mamdani's refusal to endorse such a paradigm noteworthy?

Shibley Telhami's primer on this from 2021 can be illuminating for newcomers on the subject.
America must rethink its unique and contradictory advocacy of Israel’s Jewishness | Brookings
Shibley Telhami argues that the United States' unique advocacy for Israel specifically as a Jewish state conflicts with the notion that states should represent and treat all their citizens equally, wh...

The Gulf states alongside Egypt, Jordan and Turkey are opposed to the establishment of residential blocs under Israeli occupied Gaza and believe that reconstruction must be in conjunction with the deployment of the ISF, which these very same countries want to first be deployed in place of the IDF.

The Israelis proposed setting up Israeli-controlled "Gaza Humanitarian Fund" food distribution centers (killing fields) along the new Yellow Line in Gaza, and it was rejected by the US.

The US, in turn, then proposed building residential blocs in Rafah for up to 1M people, & the Gulf opposes this.

Plan to build half a dozen residential regions on eastern side of Yellow Line for up to 1 million people receives chilly reception from some potential donor countries in the Gulf

the real horror of foreign policy is realizing that the people involved actually do believe in things after all
This is an incredibly tenacious myth about the Iraq War, pushed relentlessly by the Jacobin-y left.

But there's no evidence for it. No evidence that policy-makers had oil as even a secondary or tertiary motive for invading.

And it would make zero sense to do this, as Saddam was perfectly/

Hyrule Warriors was not the first Warriors/Musou game that The Legend of Zelda got represented.
It was Dynasty Warriors VS for the Nintendo 3DS released in Japan only in 2012.

Zero Suit Samus costume from Metroid.
Also Ryu Hayabusa and Ayane from Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive are also playable.

The only heavy equipment allowed into Gaza is restricted to retrieving Israeli corpses. Bare hands are used to find the Palestinian dead. There is a default sympathy for Israelis demanding the return of the dead but the painfully wrong dehumanization and starvation of living Palestinians continues.

Every day, the Israeli occupied southwestern Syria becomes more like the Israeli occupied West Bank.

Military occupation, raids on villages, arbitrary kidnappings, murder, and now checkpoints and road obstructions by the foreign army:
