It's pretty depresssing how Israeli politicians are deliberatly blind to what they have done to Palestinians not just over the last two years but the last seventy. Standing for humanity and the protection of children is not standing with terrorists which is their accusation against the world.

His appearance was orchestrated by a powerful American anti-abortion group that is trying to increase its influence in the UK by influencing the free speech debate

From Robert Jenrick's video - in which he did not see a single other white face on a brief trip to Birmingham, despite his video showing that he did.

"Until now, public knowledge about the relationship between Reform U.K. and the A.D.F. was limited to a single quote Mr. Farage gave to the group, which they pushed out in a press statement. But the A.D.F. has quietly been courting the party since at least 2024."

Do read this great article.

Future coverage of right-wing free speech campaigners should note:
- They are often more than happy to crack down on the free speech of their opponents.
- They may have ulterior motives, such as - in this case - the rollback of abortion rights.

The right-wing campaign group that helped topple Roe v Wade in the US is now working to roll back abortion laws in the UK, with the help of Nigel Farage.

Its first step? Trying to create a debate around "free speech"

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.

Look at these stats for female prisons in the UK (2013). They show it’s not unusual for ~50% of staff to be men..

Given controversy about possibility of trans women in female spaces, why is it never mentioned there are so many men in female prisons?

STEPHANOPOULOS: Did Tom Homan give the $50,000 back?

VANCE: He did not take a bribe. It's a ridiculous smear

STEPHANOPOULOS: You didn't answer the question

VANCE: Did he accept $50,000? I'm sure that in the course of Homan's life, he's been paid more than $50k for services.

(So, no, he didn't)

I saw the new George Orwell documentary last night. It’s called 2+2=5. I have been a little bit squeamish about applying the word totalitarian to Trump and the Republicans. Not anymore. We are experiencing a totalitarian movement. There’s no question.

Powell never saw active combat in WWII. Unlike Dennis Healey, Jim Callaghan and…Edward Heath. Wonder how much that incensed him.
