I was so bitter about my dad leaving especially as it made me feel so disconnected from him. I would always wish for a different life. I’d say I got over that bitterness when I was in my mid-20s. We’re on better terms today and I’m not sad either. I just wish things would’ve turned out differently.

Looking back, the fact that a 13 year old (me) was posting on forums that had a majority of adult users is crazy lol. Nothing bad happened on them, it was forums for bands I loved, and I happened to meet a lot of great people on them. It was my escape because it was so hard to socialize in school.

The fact that the "fight antisemitism on campus" movement has in practice become a smokescreen to both promote Islamophobia and shut down higher education more broadly, is going to have such deleterious long-term effects on the safety of both Jews AND Muslims in this country.

I'm genuinely concerned with antisemitism on campuses, and I don't want allies like this!

Years ago I got a skull and crossbones tattoo with my buddies in the Marines.

I was appalled to learn it closely resembled a Nazi symbol. I altered it yesterday, into something that isn't deeply offensive to my core beliefs.

I really like this movie. While I appreciate most of the Halloween (Michael Myers) sequels, I would’ve loved an anthology series. Interesting to see what it would’ve looked like. Also, the soundtrack to this movie rules!

I lived with my dad when I was very young and he didn’t apply for food stamps or free school lunches, though we qualified.

So, I went hungry. It was awful. I begged neighbors for saltine crackers. I can say it was the worst time of my life.

Children shouldn’t go hungry. Restore SNAP benefits.
