Probably because the Constitution says it's illegal, Karoline.

And rather than congratulate him for doing that, this unprecedented action to get our troops paid, Dems want to sue him for it. They're saying it's illegal."
The beltway media would never let a democrat prez’s press secretary get away with this kind of shit. Not ever.

It occurs to me Trump is doing something extremely similar to what Sam Bankman-Fried went to prison for.

SBF took funds from customer deposits at his crypto exchange FTX and put them into his other company Alameda Research to keep it solvent.

He should not be allowed to make those moves. He’s exhibited zero talent or ability to get the most for those resources & even more important, his time making any decisions for this team & its future should be kaput. Hes done enough damage he should not be allowed more decisions.

Swastika” Flag In Office of Rep. Dave Taylor (R-OH) May Be An “optical illusion” and “easy to miss”

The weird story about an aide to Rep. Dave Taylor (R-OH) having a flag in his Capitol Hill office with a swastika on it, has just gotten weirder.

Multiple sources tell Fox – including those investigating the issue – the flag in question is an American flag – but with a swastika embedded into the ink or weaving. And here’s the strange part: the swastika is not obvious to the naked eye. But is more visible when captured on video or by a still photo.

One source described this as an “optical illusion.” Another said the swastika was “easy to miss.”

Fox has learned that dozens of Congressional offices received these American flags from an undetermined group who brought them around Capitol Hill early in the year. One office tells Fox that the swastika on their flag was clear, so they tossed it out. But the flag in the office of Taylor was not visible until captured on camera.

It is not known what group brought the flags around. That is under investigation. The US Capitol Police are also conducting an inquiry. Fox is told that that the group brought the flags to multiple offices. At issues is if the group knew the swastika was embedded into the flag. It is also unclear if this was an effort to covertly deliver American flags to lawmakers with swastikas on them. Or, if this was an effort to deliberately embarrass offices by bringing them an American flag – which featured a swastika which wasn’t obvious to the naked eye.

Everyone is rightly jumping on the grossness of this framing, but this story really is an indictment of the inaction of our Governor and Legislature, who have, for the most part, allowed ICE to act with impunity and to continue to partner with the Plymouth County Sheriff.
The remarkably swift passage of an Everett teen into the Trump administration’s deportation system underscores the reach and efficiency of the infrastructure that Immigration and Customs Enforcement has managed to build even in deep-blue Massachusetts. trib.al/Q3zUiKU
‘This is different.’ What the case of the arrested 13-year-old in Everett tells us about ICE. - The Boston Globe
While officials say ICE has moved with similar speed in arresting adults, this case stands out for the very young age of the subject.

Imagine if KJP or Psaki had said this about the Republican base: not just that half of them were “deplorables” but that the GOP’s “main constituency is made up of domestic terrorists, white supremacists, and violent criminals”? The media, not just Fox, would be in meltdown. GOP would be screaming!

Again, the allegations in Bolton's indictment are far worse and far more real than any of the other Trump enemies prosecutions, and I think this the behavior of someone who thought DOJ would never come for him. The Dems proved him right for 4, if not 12, years. Awful work there.

So, Ukraine would need "U.S. contractors deployed to assist" if Washington supplies Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles, and America would "retain control over targeting and other issues." And after all that's done, the answer to "are they a game-changer?" is no. Well then. www.ft.com/content/654a...

I remember when the right wing mocked early Prius hybrid owners, saying the car was virtue-signaling for environmental causes. What do Cybertrucks signal?
"I was married, but I’m not married anymore. Women don't like the vehicle," says Roger Davis, a Cybertruck owner.

Davis also uses the Grok feature in the car: "Her name is Aura, and I use her as a therapist."

Good thread. The thing you gotta keep in mind about Trafalgar is that theyre not a real polling outfit so much as a pro-GOP ratfucker outfit that adds in extra R voters to "correct" their results & sometimes lands backwards into their polling being close to the actual result if its a pro-R year.
1/ Because you people won't stop talking about our northeastmost state, I am forced to remind you of Virginia elections. In particular, noted partisan hack outfit Trafalgar's polling of it, because they are trying to tell us Virginia Republicans are on the verge of defending all 3 statewide offices.
