A lot of people saying, "that's right, they have no shame." Based on my years of reporting, I'd argue that's not true at all. They just find different things shameful. Pete Hegseth, for instance, finds fat shameful. He has "shame." See how useless a concept it is?

Every time something like the GOP chat leak occurs I hear smart people arguing that shame could be a useful tactic. But shame only works if the bad actors think their actions are bad. Hypocrisy, shame, these Victorian-ish norms are just that, norms, guardrails, and they don't work against fascism.

Sometimes I remember worrying that I was embarrassing when I started sharing my fanart. I fell so hard & so fast for our pirates.
