Another Sunday with the OED - "gaydar" first appeared in print in 1986
Now, "jackhammer" first appeared in 1912 so I'm not entirely sure why I care about a ~15 year gap when my source material was playing with about 200 years but this is who I am as a person

I NEVER dream about the pirates but I just woke up from a vivid dream where we got a new episode where Stede had to go on a mission to rescue Ed from Ned Low and it included all sorts of insanity like sneaking through a swamp and walking on alligators and glowing wild dogs and surprise!!! 1/2
