Making an entire movie around "what if the grid programs invaded the real world" and having that come down to two bikes, a tank and a recognizer is just depressing, man. And Legacy, dumb as it was, deserved better than being written off by this.

Considering how much I dislike Jared Leto, the most damning thing I can say about Ares is that he wasn't even the worst thing about it. There's a fun 20 minute NIN video buried in there, surrounded by a dull, cynical, petty little movie that condenses the grid down to a couple of cloud servers.

Stampede ended up being really great. I'm excited for this, the 98 series was one of my first anime shows that I got really into and seeing Milly and her ridiculous gun and the latter Wolfwood arcs are going to be a treat.
