2. We badly need a Democratic Tea Party, but with its entire focus on viciously uprooting and eliminating corruption everywhere, at every level of government.

Democrats are not required to open the government.

A rules vote in the Senate can create a filibuster exemption for the budget that all 53 Republican senators support. That rules vote only needs 51 votes.

No Democratic votes are needed.

At this point the shutdown is entirely in Republican hands.

Under Gelsinger's watch Intel not only failed to compete with TSMC's fabrication process they also created the first irreparably flawed generation of Intel CPUs that have the potential to degenerate below their operating specification.

Like many fuckups, he only seemed credible due to being a CEO.
