My first thought was overly safety conscious (trip hazard) on height vs the loggia, but they look to be the same level?

Ridiculous. Urbanity thrives on porousness.

Loads of people, especially in the more suburban south of the borough, went absolutely ape shit.

There was a big racist angle to this - they were scared of the sense of urbanity flats would bring, and the black and brown people who they thought would move in.

Framed by cobblestones, London’s old façades shimmer
Urbanity gathered in a puddle, where stone and sky meet 😉😁

…I supported that proposal from 30 or so years ago (was it by Rogers?) to encase it in glass, whilst my own preference /then/ would’ve been to encase the ugly-but-useful buildings in urbanity; housing, shops etc to create less, better, more vibrant, street-like public realm!

As someone always searching for justification for my anti-Vancouver bias, maybe you can intuitively sense this about the urbanity of a place?

The History of Edinburgh
Introduction Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, stands as a unique testament to the complex tapestry of Scottish history, blending ancient heritage with modern urbanity. Perched upon volcanic rock formations, flanked by hills and watercourses, and divided into the historic Old Town and the planned New Town, Edinburgh embodies a historical continuum that stretches from prehistoric settlements to contemporary global significance.

YES! And I would so much like to know why that is, it's gruesome. Detroit has tons of great food, in all price classes. I think it's just urbanity perhaps....

It’s always interesting to find examples of quasi-urbanity, especially in settings where it looks or feels out of place. They’re glimpses of how what we call “suburbia” could have developed in subtly different, and better and more vibrant, ways.

“The idea of Srinagar hoists a certain notion of cultural superiority, an exclusiveness which is located in its urbanity. But then, equally, the city tends to be cosmopolitan.” Sameer Hamdani in conversation with Shakir Mir.

To Oh the urbanity. The first step in destroying white supremacy is to admit ones present day nation benefitted from it. It is called systemic racism because it runs itself

First time walking the Dutch Lane.
It is truly impressive in Hong Kong how dense urbanity is rubbing shoulder with dense vegetation.

If you find yourself in Wanchai searching for a little adventure... head to the hills/ good shoes advised.

The fractures in US society are race >>>>>> education > urbanity > age > gender > income

But the age factor is still there. If 45-64 continue to stick with Trump while others fall away, that's an important story. The only Republican majority group being 45-64 is quite the development.

"With the industrial revolution and urbanity on the march, the rise of constabulary was inevitable in every society" is just an absolutely amazing sentence.

Thank you for a pedantic, incomplete history lesson. By the md-19th Century, with the industrial revolution and urbanity on the march, the rise of the constabulary was inevitable in every society. Provide examples of modern societies now operating without organized law enforcement or no fucks given.
