#school—but
When I was in school, I was an awful student. But one thing I can hang my hat on is that I never EVER used AI to write my assignments for me. I used my own intellect and creativity to do my assignments. I loathe and detest AI and the people who use it for things that they should figure out.

They kind of had a post office. The Lil Red convenience store on EP Road by the high school (also now gone) was one of those retail POs -- just a counter in the store. Buy stamps, drop off letters. But if you needed a PO box or were mailed a package, you had to go to the Hopkins PO for that.

Yep; that’s it. Not much, but to be fair, collecting for the Nintendo 64 is a pricier endeavor than collecting for the two main old school Nintendo systems before it (but at least not as pricey as collecting for the GameCube).

It would be funny if you went to see Frankenstein but you were dressed up as the old school green/ flat top/neck bolts Frankenstein, and you yelled ' hey come on what the hell" whenever the Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein was on the screen
( we're going to see it this eve)

It's a little harder to get my homework done, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

We lost so much, but not our hope. My brothers still dream of school, of friends, of safety. I want to make that dream real again. 💔
Please donate help me give them a future worth believing in.

Coming from a guy who's only accomplishment in life has been acquiring the ability to wipe his own ass before enrolling in boarding school but only because they required it for admission.

It is just not at all in doubt that the Region of Waterloo speed cameras work. Like it or not, but drivers have slowed the hell down in those school zones with the cameras, and even without

I think this is the 19th century equivalent of Red State discourse (but the reference to Lord Cardigan and black bottles is quite funny today if you know your Flashman)

I wish I learned about a-spec orientations in school, preferably early. I wish I knew about it when I was 10 years old. I’m serious. I knew lesbians existed, but not asexuals. Life would have been better with education about these things. Lack of education is harmful! #asexual

That was how it started… the Veep was the second person who got the most votes, but 100000% support direct democracy and ranked choice. But civic classes should be mandatory!! Every year of school.

Peachtree City is a lot of fun to bike around and I wish I did it more as a teenager, but unfortunately the ATL burbs got to me.

Check out the amazing network of paths...and golf cart parking at my old high school.

Meanwhile, amazing find at the thrift store (no, I did not buy, but can't say I wasn't tempted for a second there!)

What are the odds of a school’s field hockey program boasting five sister groups? Not great — but Concord-Carlisle High School field hockey isn’t any ordinary program.

Being a part of the same program deepens their bonds, provides a support system, and helps them become their best selves.

I would love not only for there eventually to be a scene where Alexander sits for a portrait, but to commission a faux Lely/English School painting of it. Unfortunately a bajillion dollars would have to appear out of nowhere for that to happen.

Till then I make my own doodles.

When I was in high school, the Up in Smoke tour came to Boise and Ice Cube said to the crowd “Hello, Idaho, or as I call it, Idapimp.” It wasn’t that funny but I still think about it like once a month

Sigh, back when our gov was actually trying help its people.

My loans were paid off, but like many, I delighted in the forgiveness of school loans for others. A beautiful gift for so many - life changing one. 💙

Thanks for sharing this with me. Makes me so happy. 😊

But they do need birth certificates (from red states that will no longer issue changed ones) and Social security cards for just about every thing, from voting to drivers licenses to working to school.
It’s not just passports.

A bad use of AI…but besides that, school safety folks saw that the AI mistook a hand holding Doritos for a gun and cancelled an alert…and a School Resource Officer (SRO, a cop at the school) called local police anyway.

Then police came— in *8* cop cars
"A.i." like this is an inaccurate, racist product that should be banned everywhere.

Spinning Silver is... Rumpelstiltskin? Sort of? But in a medieval Poland-inspired setting, with Polish Jewish culture + magical ice elves (essentially). A Deadly Education + sequels = magic school in an underground fortress where most students die.

I read a lot about the Holocaust and WW2 high school onward, have always avoided lightning bolt art etc because it’s too easy to end up with something that looks like an S, but I totally missed this symbol. I think my brain just blanks over insignia and rank so I likely saw it, it just didn’t stick.
