I guess I will do the plush stitching as real geometry. Array modifier on a curve is more than enough to place them, and then I can use other modifiers to deform them. I could do them as a texture, but Blender doesn't have Substance Painter's draw path tools :/

TT modifiers are worse.
Previous times I've tried a "squish" effect on Raz/Loom, I used cloth sims or shrinkwrap modifiers with okay results. This time I learned to use a Lattice which was both a lot less finicky and I think came out better! Excited to use this method to squish other things... :3

Talking photography, this was one of the most difficult setups in my home studio due to space. 4 lights with various modifiers filled it up. My back was against the wall, the client couldn't move around much! Hours to retouch the latex!

In Rhythm Doggo, I'm finally utilizing an approach I planned for Ynglet but didn't have time to fully explore: Lots of gameplay modifiers to make things easier/harder
Blessings make the game easier. Curses make it harder. I don't think anyone will beat the game with all curses enabled at once.
