Much to my bewildered incredulity, I appear to have finished preparing the next wave of @iambapoet.com more than a week before its publication date – a feat I've seemingly been unable to accomplish for more than a year now, at least. Good news for the 15 poets waiting eagerly to review their pages.

I guess I’m tired of our culture of incredulity & all we have to pretend is complicated when it’s plain & all the wrongs we’re forced into complicit silence about so the powerful won’t be held to account & I really feel when Bambara asked “What are we pretending not to know today?”
