It's really intriguing to me as well because the Sun's evolution in 6.5 billion years isn't even what's going to push Earth past habitability. The sun will get hotter, which will make life as we know it very hard in just a few hundred mya. We're so late in the history of Earth life, I think!

Also, in the free bus pilot 11% of new bus riders had been in cars (private or taxis). But a huge part of why Mamdani's stated he's doing it part of a broader blitz to make the city more affordable. It seems like Zipper is focused on climate to the exclusion of other habitability metrics

I find that article brilliant. I didn't heard about habitability in the code before with that term but it's surely a thing to work towards

Then shrink the economy. Tare the whole thing down and start again if needed. The habitability of the planet is more important than the value of the dollar

The segregation and concentration of poverty into large and desolate developments compounds its effects. It makes it more difficult to provide social services and other necessities. And the city is terrible with follow-through, with investing in maintenance, security, habitability.

If you haven’t already, look into warranty of habitability laws in your jurisdiction. Using those magic words in future communications should light a fire under their ass.

David, two q’s:

(1) what’s the latest on the health effects of gas stoves in homes?

(2) are there any places where tenants have a right to certain air quality? (Either by law or judicial decisions on habitability)

known as the Galilean Moons (named after Galileo, who first observed them with a telescope).

Europa, Jupiter’s smallest moon is considered one of the most likely locations in the Solar System for potential habitability.

As far as dodgy deals go, this is an absolute nonsense. Administrative oversight for compliance with a regulation. Nothing problematic about habitability and no financial impropriety. Yet the people casting the largest stones are utterly hypocritical.

I do like checking in on the K2-18b habitability saga every once in a while.

Judging on this paper, it looks like the argument that everyone's favorite sub-Neptune could reflect enough sunlight to keep temperatures clement might not hold up.🔭🧪
