#code-sharing
There's always that old story from the 70s of people freely sharing computer code, then Bill Gates came along and demand people _pay_ for his code...

#Day12 I'm sharing a piece inspired by quilting and chemistry. I created this with a particle system and let the code run overnight to render the image.

Is she sharing? If not, pretty sure that's a violation of Canine Code 1254. 😁

Karla said it so well.

I (Ben) was thrilled to testify on the technical side, demonstrating with algorithms, real code and benchmarks on why data privacy is possible at scale. Sharing that room with Danny Lin, Jason George, and so so many talented and skilled creatives was a genuine honor.

Lol been catching blocks all day for sharing a tool that helps you write code with AI.

I don't know man, the people on the religious war level missions against using these tools to write software just confuse me.

mhm for sure, thank you for sharing! def will explore when I have a little down time, I haven't done code reviews in ages this would probably be a good cognitive exercise 😅

The only thing I miss about Twitter are the conversations I'd have with Dillon Rogers about things like Bloodborne or the source code for AVP2, and sharing our experiences with Gloomwood and Dimension X development.

As much as I enjoyed them, it was not enough to keep me on the Nazi site.

Thank you for sharing this! It's a fascinating first-hand look into comics history and censorship. I was wondering why we don't see more such accounts when I read your closer about the CCA memory-holing its records.

Thank you @aimeelucido.bsky.social for sharing your books with our school’s community of readers. Since this was #CSEdWeek, I’ve been reading EMMY IN THE KEY OF CODE & I’m really enjoying it. I can think of a few readers to hand it off to once I’m done! #kidlit #MGLit

One thing I have always found odd is that car GPS systems tend to incorrectly claim that my workplace is located in Cleveland, Ohio. I have since learned that this is the result of ZIP code sharing.

Trend I’m seeing getting worse recently: a legit GitHub issue gets filed. Somehow people latch onto it as something they can spam us on. Multiple similar PRs, often from different people sharing bits of code, that look 90% plausible but with blatantly obvious tells.

Here's what we are doing lately wrt (neurophys data+code) sharing. Curious to compare with you.

1) Provide manuscript reviewers a link w/ data & code & state "Data will be uploaded to a repo upon acceptance".

2) Upon acceptance, upload it all to Figshare, get the doi, & insert that into the proof.
