During today’s Makerspace Monday 2nd graders used our light table and different materials to make rangoli art for Diwali (next week, but we don’t have school that day). They loved playing with shapes and elements to make art. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky

Since I can't watch the Caps, I'm spending my time watching Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey instead. A Big Ten Plus subscription is half the cost of the Monumental Sports one and offers a lot more options. And, the Badger women are so skilled and so fun to watch!

Yesterday was silent book club but it was mistakenly announced this morning as being today. At 4th grade recess I look up to see a line of kids at the door clutching piles of books as I’m trying to finish w/a K class. Didn’t have the heart to turn them away! #SchoolLibrary

Nice work, if you can get it…

Doing #OutdoorLearning / #PlaceBasedLearning series with a K class—started today w/ a walk to the local municipal park, impromptu Storytime carpet = a tarp, read Me And My Sit Spot as an intro, we gave them a scavenger hunt for #LooseParts play to form their names—Fun!

It's not highly illustrated, but has illustrations and photos interspersed throughout. So much engaging content! The series is fantastic--circulates a lot in my elementary school media center with our 4th and 5th graders.
