I just inadvertently discovered something in AoM; There's a boon in Gauntlet mode that makes your myth units larger and tougher but more costly to field. At first it doesn't seem like much of an increase (Simple quality), but when combo'd with the increase from the Wonder Age...

Another aspect of the crunch on those games (Shock 1 & 2, AoM), was that the team was all pretty good friends. It took a lot of the sting off when late nights are basically hanging out with people you really like working on something you all care about.

But that's not a valid management tool.

I'm a complete mark for this kind of stuff. So there's no surprise I'm enjoying it. But it's been really nice having AoM exist again. Seeing it get huge quality of life improvements and get new and well designed civilizations.

It's really cool, I like it and I'm keen to see the Aztecs next.

Although Black women are physically visible in that they are different from most of their colleagues, intersectional invisibility research suggests that they can be simultaneously invisible—easily overlooked or disregarded—because they are non-prototypical members of their gender and racial identity groups. To shed new light on the role that intersectional invisibility plays in Black women’s perceptions and experiences, we conducted two waves of in-depth interviews across seven years with 59 Black women who occupy senior-level positions in organizations. We develop a theoretical model to explain the paradoxical effects of executive Black women’s “outsider within” status in which they simultaneously experience opportunities and constraints associated with two forms of intersectional invisibility: benign and hostile. To manage both forms of intersectional invisibility, executive Black Women adopt a number of critical strategies to gain credible visibility needed to ascend in their careers.

I see that AoM Remake in there 👀 Didn’t know you were into RTS , you should check out AoE2 DE.

Has a pretty large scene in Latin America. I put 200 hours into it with friends - I never would’ve expected to play that game, but here we are 😅
