I have this, but about Tambora, 1815. Which gave us (among other things) Frankenstein.

Tambora eruption in 1815 is crazy too. It snowed in July in Philadelphia the year after.

Tambora was a lot bigger, but looms less large in collective memory because Krakatoa happened at the dawn of global telecommunications, when telegraph networks had just spread across the world. It was, in some ways, the first global mass media event!

Smaller than Tambora (a lot) but really deadly was the eurption of Mt Pelee in the Caribbean. There were two survivors on the island, one was this guy who luckily got put in the drunk tank (coastal artillery magazine) the night before: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludger_...

Dream last night replaying girlfriend and I's first date in the Minneapolis Institute of Art where she I autistically rambled to her about Monet's colour use and J.W. Turners work captured the atmospheric pollution from the Mt Tambora eruption that also caused the 1815 famine back home in Ireland

Sorry, but the starting point for anything relating to Mormonism with this meme has to be "1815 eruption of Mount Tambora, Indonesia." I think those are the rules.

- d’avoir écrit sur eux dans un blog qui eut un petit succès d’estime ;
- de leur avoir transmis mes angoisses existentielles.

I was reading a thread about how reviewers apparently haven't read Frankenstein and apparently expect the new movie to be a remake of the Boris Karloff version.

One comment made me LOL:
Historians: Lord Byron was the real villain
Geologists: Mount Tambora was the real villain

In 1815, news of the #Tambora eruption took months to reach Europe by ship. What if a similar eruption occurred today?

During this week in 1815, eruptions began at Mount Tambora in Indonesia.
It culminated in the most powerful volcanic eruption in recorded human history that lowered global temperatures in 1816.
