Delighted you like the photo 🐝
It’s from July 16th, was taken on the west side of Ravenswood Avenue, on the way to Rosehill Cemetery, a walk I often once made, where neighbors had planted wildflowers up the side of the earthwork rising to parallel railroad tracks for the Metra.

Brilliant to see our campaign in Sutton for a new 96-place SEND school in Rosehill pay off as the contract for the Angel Hill School is signed, with work set to begin in the next few months.

Hello, Mr Perkins Bass. Your school is cool & all, but I really like your grave.
Perkins Bass (1827-1899) reposes in Rosehill Cemetery & occasionally shows up on @adamchicago.bsky.social's Rosehill tours, depending on what dead people Adam feels like introducing you to on any given day.

I'll add one pic of the May Chapel exterior, taken a couple years ago at one of the evening operas Rosehill occasionally hosts.

1/2 I have never once been to Rosehill Cemetery & found the May Chapel open & empty. Until yesterday.
Short thread with some interior details in the light of day.

Good morning from Seven Hills, NSW, Australia, where at 7.30 am, Saturday, October 11, it is a pleasant, sunny 18°C. Taking the wife to Rosehill Gardens for a day at the Races. Gives her a chance to wear some pretty clothes. Last 6.05 pm. Better book a Hotel. Keep smiling, talk later. 😀

Bob Dylan is one of only two Nobel Prize winners to have written a number one pop song; the other Evanston’s own Vice President Charles Dawes, who wrote the melody for what became “It’s All in the Game.” (Dawes is also one of two members of congress to write a #1 song, the other being Sonny Bono)

Latham is just an entitled prick. He got chucked out of Royal Randwick on Saturday bc he's "not allowed on the racetrack after he resigned his ATC membership amid an investigation into his alleged verbal abuse of a club official at Rosehill Racecourse in April." www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
‘Vicious payback’: Mark Latham removed from Royal Randwick restaurant by police
The MP was asked to leave by management but refused, according to turf club officials.

Lovely potter round Fox Rosehill Garden this morning, in scattered sun and showers. Ambivalent about the decision to use repurposed gravestones as stepping stones!

Despite these shortcomings, I still think it is a cool place that, when fully developed with transport infrastructure completed, I would be delighted to live in.
It is also an interesting vision into what a similar nearby precinct, Camellia-Rosehill, will look like once it is developed.
