Ironic given that the Labour right calls people "tankies" if they want to renationalise water or stop supporting an ongoing genocide.

Well each time you renationalise you create a new publicly owned operator, so why not add the task of running trains to Europe to one of those? They would need to invest in equipment the same as any other operator, but you don't need to invent a new operator. You've already got one.

It’s just a con isn’t it, rather than make the sensible decision to renationalise!

Our local network seems to be inoperable: rural buses nonexistant, local buses cancelled, late, old and unreliable. Time to renationalise. The economy is knackered if people can't get to work !

Ofgem is not fit for purpose - just like Ofwat it is totally corrupt and no more than a revolving door between the regulator and the huge profit-taking corporations draining public money out of what should be national public services.

Renationalise the bank of England. 9 out of 10 times the answer to the problem is to remove Private Equity's ownership and control.
To reverse the damage caused by nearly 5 decades of neoliberal economics we require national developmentalism and nationalisation of all Public Utilities and Services.

This and the Dutch gov should renationalise Nexperias European parts, and sell it of to European owners or an IPO.
"Most of Nexperia’s semiconductors are produced in Europe" and packaged in China - and used by Chinese carmakers too. Strategically it seems feasible for Europe to package locally and cut China out. This is surely a calculated tactical action, but could it backfire in the long run?
EU carmakers ‘days away’ from factories halting work in chip war with China

Is it to renationalise key industries, reduce inequality and tackle the cost of living gouging by corporate entities so your average Britain has enough money invest in their future ?

take over, and renationalise/reflag to EU key assets like ABB Robotics, Kuba, Nexperia etc, and prevent their sale in the future, not only tech but all strategic companies & assets.
The days of free trade is over, as we, EU, cannot compete free with US /tech) monopolies, or Chinese state directed

Zack Polanski wants to renationalise Water, have a wealth tax and fully fund our NHS
Nigel Farage wants to deport innocent people, whip up racism and transfer more wealth to the super rich.
Yet Centrists are trying to make us think they are the same.

The first thing we should Renationalise is the Government.
MPs should not receive a penny from any 'donors', they should work only for you.

Tax the rich - it’s really not that hard. Introduce a wealth tax, including off shore and use the money to improve public services. Renationalise the water companies, stop the supermarkets ripping off the public

A real left of centre party would seek to renationalise utilities to control escalating costs; push for heavily subsidised public transport; seek accountability for the widespread fraud and embezzlement around public spending; have a viable plan to provide affordable housing, health, and education.

How much extra does it cost the nation yearly if we don't renationalise the water industry?

They could probably stop the immigrant bashing, then do something relatively popular - jail some water company execs, renationalise that, etc
I’m not a policy wonk but it’s still easy to do something relatively popular if populism is the goal
I dunno who they’re currently trying to woo tbh

The gov could renationalise energy, lower bills and still make a big dent in the cost of living crisis and clear enough profit to plug any financial ‘black hole’
They won’t do so because they operate on an ideological autopilot that serves wealth

Absolutely, we pay shareholders and execs of virtually bankrupt water companies huge amounts every year. Thames Water the Gov is using our money as tax payers to keep them afloat. Whilst greedy execs increase our bills to pay themselves, we need to renationalise and save ourselves billions.

The model was always broken. Hopelessly ideological and never workable.
How was the average consumer ever going to be able to vote with their feet with their water supply?
Time to renationalise water and start the lengthy task of fixing the years of neglect.

So... we should all go on paying failed water companies to bail out the shareholders who have had massive dividends paid for decades out of not just our water bills but also bailouts from the government, whilst infrastructure was left to rot?
No. And a hard no to paying to renationalise too.
