IMO, it's the k-shaped economy. People whose property values and portfolios are going up can tune out the noise from their penthouses and welathy suburbs. Everyone else gets the noise good and hard.
Constant chaos, and yet now almost four months of static polling (NYT average 53 plus or minus 1 disapproval, 43 plus or minus 1 approval). No boost from Israel/ Gaza or stock market. No hit from the shutdown or the invasions of US cities or blowing up fishing boats. No nuthin' from nuthin'.

I have recollections that one of the penthouses in Butlers Wharf was like this. Had the LED glass so when the light was on in the loo the walls went dark. Was very unfortunate if there was a power cut.
