CPAC is absolutely vital and if we can't find the (relative) pocket change to preserve it what are we even doing here.

Straight-up sociopath.

Asked about a Guard member who’s dead because of his bullshit and it takes him 30 seconds to make it all about how great he is.
Q: Do you plan to attend Sarah's funeral?

TRUMP: I haven't thought about it yet, but it's certainly something I can conceive of. I love West Virginia. You know, I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.

Q: Officials say the suspect in the DC shooting was vetted & it came up clean

TRUMP: He went cuckoo. He went nuts. There was no vetting

Q: Actually, your DOJ IG says there was thorough vetting of Afghans. So why blame Biden?

TRUMP: You're just asking questions because you're a stupid person

Let's see.

The 504D streetcar being replaced by a bus. Nowhere in site. Can walk up to 505 Dundas and hope that is on time, or take any bus or streetcar that happens to come one stop across the DVP and walk 35 minutes (and be 10 minutes late.

The TTC is basically semi-organized hitchhiking.

The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?

Wild how three immigrants managed to turn the entire Republican Party against immigration.

the 510 gotta be a poster child example that slapping dedicated transit lanes don't necessarily allow transit vehicles to glide smoothly past traffic. got to address intersection priority!
Streetcars crawling up Spadina.

Note the left turning cars taking priority over the streetcar.

"A death-haunted Trump is fed a steady stream of AI-generated news and polls while he focuses 100% of his efforts on building a ballroom that would dwarf the rest of the White House while navigating a series of accellerating and hidden health crises" is my take on the current situation.

Trump should be (won’t be, but should be) embarrassed by the Witkoff transcript. W says to Ushakov “the way to deal with Trump is with obsequious flattery” and U replies “yeah, we obviously know that” [paraphrases].

it's true - US codes result in really ugly, massive development.

single stair helps solve this.
NEW PAPER w/ @cselmendorf.bsky.social & @jkalla.bsky.social:

An under-appreciated reason why voters oppose dense new housing, especially in less-dense neighborhoods: they think it looks ugly and want to prevent that, even in other neighborhoods.

Some of what we think is NIMBYism might not be!

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

Anyone who thinks there's some sort of reckoning coming for the rental market should probably set up listing alerts.

I'll tell you, I've had the same alert with the same parameters since three appartments ago, and despite minor fluctuations, Toronto isn't getting cheap anytime soon. Sorry.

The alternative to an SRO isn't a larger apartment; the alternative is a tent.
Relegalize SROs. Relegalize single stair buildings to enable larger, family sized homes. Legalize townhomes everywhere. Legalize ADUs everywhere. Legalize apartment buildings in more places. Yes to all the homes.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1
