#Pennywell
Don't know about Pennywell, other than it's reputation, got a good story about there actually.

Back in the Stan's Northern League Division 2 days we had an away game one night at Ford Quarry Hub, couple of the lads stopped at a chippy in Pennywell on the way home, one goes in one stays in the car 1

I don't have a lot of the history, but I used to hang out in Sunderland a bit when a lad. Couple of lads I knew told me that he used to talk up being a Pennywell hard case, but it was just made up. I dunno if that tallies.

New cycle path opened in North Edinburgh A new cycle path opened near the Gasholder in North Edinburgh this week. This is part of the £1.3 billion regeneration project on Granton Waterfront and links Pennywell Roundabout to the Prom at Gypsy Brae. It is a segregated cycle route with new and improved footpaths and crossings for pedestrians and cyclists. Members of the North Edinburgh Arts cycle group met with Cllr Stephen Jenkinson Transport and Environment Convener to declare the pathway open.

Useful bit of path that will be even more effective if the project planned for Pennywell Road can be taken forward. A small step, but good to see.

But (to be more positive), as a whole it is a useful link, I think, and with eventual developments further up Pennywell Road (hopefully) it could be made to join up to something sensibly.
