#MacroVision
So near and yet so far.

also i don't think anyone here knew what macrovision is, this country is not known for being rich enough to get a second VCR to copy tapes*, but i also think no one ever had that idea because we were okay with the combination of video rental and taping movies off TV

La botiga digital ha aconseguit el què no havien aconseguit la obsolescència dels formats i la gestió de drets (des analògics com Macrovision a digitals com Cactus Data Shield): llevar al usuari l'accés al contingut que ha adquirit legalment.
this is exactly why i still buy discs in 2023. it's crazy to think that we are reaching a point where piracy will be the only option to own media once dvds and blu-rays are gone.

Ah. The days of Colorburst, Macrovision and colour correctors for £70 from the back of a magazine!

iirc I think Crux has a bunch of stuff for that?

Aside from Piper’s Playground and Macrovision

DVDs may still have Macrovision.

If you’re not aware of the MacroVision tool over on FA, it can be a big help when comparing sizes, especially at more grandiose scales.

I use Macrovision all the time. It has options to turn on horizontal rulers as well. Just remember it measures the dimensions of the image, so you'll have to size the image larger and eyeball the measurement.

Using Macrovision macrovision.crux.sexy

Somewhere around 80 ft maybe? Depending on sheath size relative to the macro.

DVD players had macrovision copy protection when playing commercially released movies. This would keep most VHS decks from recording. It wasn't always properly implemented, though, so you might get lucky :)

Oh, also, have this size comparison between Ky and the foot they're worshiping, courtesy of MacroVision.

I think it helps visualize things. :3

When I was watching a movie last week in class, it was from a Universal DVD, meaning it used the Macrovision logo that I'm nostalgic for.

That said, I feel so, so dirty for chuckling when I saw this on the projection screen.

I was watching this DVD when I first encountered Macrovision because of my setup and had to Google how to disable it on my player (which was a simple button combo)

it's super weird noticing the brightness oscillating slowly on a black and white film.

I'm right in the middle of trying to solve that exact problem.

Tomb and the Key To Time cassettes all have sodding Macrovision.

I may have to connect straight to a PC, but I've found no reliable 50fps video connection.

DID YOU KNOW I LOVE MAKING THINGS TOO MUCH WORK?
I finally decided to hit up macrovision, but as I never got to get Carrol-Anne added as a silhouette, I had to make edits to images and copy paste them on top of eachother using transparency and scaling each image using the skyscraper as reference.

Macro March is upon us once more. I think I will whip out the macrovision growth drive shenanigans again. Likely gonna target Sabiki this time around.

A shortstack working out with big objects? It's very likely!

I have an old PC system w/TV tuner, still hooked up to a VCR. I have an old VHS movie (rare theater documentary), never released to digital format, that I finally decided to convert. Took HOURS of troubleshooting to get it to fire up again and then figure out how to get around the macrovision. /1

Hey #SizeSky! I'm looking for an image scaling program to use in a project I will be eventually working on. I'm aware of things like Character Height Companion and Macrovision but they're too simple for my needs. I'm willing to commission someone like a programmer if need be so spread the word!

It's literally been the official description on all TV listings and streaming services since the remaster was released. Everyone gets their show/movie description data from TiVo (formerly Rovi and Macrovision).

Fussed around with custom images in macrovision to make a height chart.

Turns out, I forgot just how massive 12ft actually is. Jelly huge.

Many years ago, I chased down an Apex DVD player specifically for the very special hidden "YOU SHOULD NOT BE HERE" settings menu.
