I feel most sorry for the kids, because it's not their fault their parents are ignorant.

I'm getting MMR in addition to flu+covid, but didn't want to get all three at once so it'll be in a couple weeks. I don't know how I'll react to MMR since I was tiny when I got it decades ago!

Using mdadm to create software RAID in Linux is so easy but lord help you if you want to delete an array without remnants causing weird problems unless you basically zero the disks involved.

I saw this earlier. I haven't been to Chicago in over a decade and it was a wonderful city back then; I can't believe how much investment has gone into making it better in the last few years. I hope to make it back there someday.

Being yelled at and lectured by a police officer for several minutes because I dared cross a street against a crosswalk signal. There was zero traffic in sight; campus was on break.

The whole situation was so ridiculous I still get pissed off to this day when I remember it. Over a decade ago.

I *HATED* when teachers disallowed us normal bodily functions.

I had a teacher not let me go pee once. I eventually reached my limit and ran out of the room and barely made it.

Strangely no consequences when I got back. He probably realized what the alternative was.

This was 7th grade I think.

I wish I could! Nothing like going out biking in nippy air and feeling a little cold until you warm up from the exercise then it feels awesome.

It would be really funny if I ended up leaving Apple over this.

Seriously, I'm tempted. The problem is, I have trust issues with Google. Despite everything Apple has always seemed better on security and user privacy.

But if they end up making the system unpleasant to use.... I dunno.

Apparently from what I'm reading the iOS 26.1 beta doesn't reverse any of the annoying design decisions made for iOS 26.

I wonder if this is going to be the first major iOS release I end up skipping completely.
