Yup, abject licensure to be completely unaccountable violent murderers

Distribution of goods works by voluntary trade and gift. Anything voluntary. A bit like now except no government licensure, regulation, govt cartel enforcement agencies, tariffs, tolls, quotas …

So you either invest money into being friends with the government and trying to make money off AI---meaning you will not face any meaningful consequences when AI fails---or you fund into Lyft---circumventing chauffeur licensure while normalizing gig work that takes advantage of the working poor.

A nurse in Florida lost her job and is in danger of losing her nursing license for wish liar Leavitt a painful childbirth on a TikTok post. Florida gives approvals to fake nursing schools, doesn’t care if someone didn’t really go to nursing school, and sends them to other states for licensure.

Here's the udpate:

Minnesota has a "Guest licensure" for LMFTs- it lasts for 5 months and costs $182-and you can apply online.

I don't think I'll do that as I don't want to tell new clients I can only stick with them for 5 months...so I'm going to look into permanent licensure there.
I saw the Board of SW in MN is adding a temp license, which is wonderful. Does anyone know if the Board of MFT is also doing this?

There is no professional organization to monitor & enforce those ethics, meaning those ethics do not exist. Journalism developed as a profession in the 20th century and it doesn’t require licensure or anything. Stop holding these people up as heroes - journalists are a big reason why we’re here now.
I think people are so accustomed to YouTube “journalists” that they forget it’s an actual profession with ethics & guidelines and is generally Good Actually even despite the institutional pressure that make mass media incredibly shitty on the aggregate

I love it. When I took my first licensure exam, they sent me confirmation that I passed with my picture on it. Apparently, the computer had a camera that that snapped a photo while I was taking the exam. That's probably also standard practice and those records should be public.

I’m HOWLING! These flags were not taught in my watercraft licensure training!

None of that information is difficult to find.

Continuing education requirements for licensure in ANY state are also not hard to find. Not that it really matters, since you can fart at 3 o'clock on a Tuesday and you have completed your CEUs.

When systems stall, and silence stretches on, God still speaks. A delay that looked final turned into a testimony overnight. This is what happens when uncertainty meets prayer. If you are waiting on approval, read this

Ten: City employees operated heavy vehicles without a CDL. Those employees were required to be licensed. OIG recommendation to send employees to training and create licensure verification processes. The CDL requirement was city policy. No vehicles driven required a CDL.

Gun owner here and I support that fully. Also mandatory training for licensure.

Yes. Exactly.
It's so dangerous that I'd advise never seeing this doctor again.
*Get all your medical records from his office.*

If there's written proof that he wants to give you something that could kill you, that ought to be reported to whatever body is in charge of medical licensure there.

She got a New York license while living in Manitoba? That clearly defeats the intended purpose of automatic cross-licensure!

You'll also have to work hard to find someone more enraged than me by attempts to replace ownership with perpetual licensure. It is the surest path to underclass dystopia from where we are today and this attitude gets my blood pressure up.

It is probably best the state still license the trades, but it needs to create realistic alternative pathways, besides working for someone else, to gain licensure, especially for the simpler one & two family residential code. Commercial is a different beast.

Fun Fact: New York State has no licensure requirement for Plumbers, Electricians, or HVAC technicians. Some of the big cities do, but not the state. All work gets inspected by the building official or dedicated electrical inspector. There is no evidence of any health and safety issues versus CT.

“Occupational licensing laws provide a potent historical example of how labor regulations often served discriminatory purposes.”

They still do. Connecticut needs alternative pathways to licensure. The current Medieval Guild system needs to give way to Modernity.
