I have choices. I choose full price hardcopies from a local indie bookshop. In the future I may make other choices, I may not have the same range of choices I have the luxury to have now.

Kindles though, for all I dislike Amazon, are light, relatively cheap, easy to see in the wild to get a sense what they’re like, great choice of books you don’t need to leave the house for. Plus lots of folk already own them and have existing libraries, and switching is expensive.

I use a Kobo e-reader and I love it! It's also lasted longer than the last 3 Kindles I owned combined. You can download books you bought through Amazon and legally remove the DRMs to put on a non-Amazon e-reader, too.

I use a Kobo e-reader and I love it! It's also lasted longer than the last 3 Kindles I owned combined. You can download books you bought through Amazon and legally remove the DRMs to put on a non-Amazon e-reader, too.
Even the boob delivery has a positive twist. While he's well liked and strongly connected to the community, rather than develop a harem, he re-kindles an old relationship with a fellow (demonstrably kick-ass) adventurer, they move in together, and eventually get married.
