It’s just super hard for me to evaluate so I have to loop in a lot of my kids and just use their recommendations. The storylines are usually fine but occasionally you will get some wildly inappropriate artwork.

Fantasy is out. Mystery and Horror is in.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is still King. Can we get a similar BIPOC option?
Marvel is out. Manga is in.
Kids will read THICK books. As long as it's Stephen King.
