Agreed, except for the bit about leavers, still can't find it me to afford their gullibility and lemming-like thinking any forgiveness.

Good. Gambling is a nasty predatory industry, profiting from people's gullibility and addiction. They should be taxed hard, and the same for online gambling businesses.

Except promoting gullibility
"Ultimately, the collective strategy of AI companies threatens to deskill precisely those people who are essential for society to function. What value, after all, is there in automating art, thinking, or reading – especially in educational and academic settings? None."

Enjoyed writing this short but sweet [altho not necessarily in message] piece for @projectsyndicate.bsky.social w @irisvanrooij.bsky.social:
> While the AI industry claims its models can “think,” “reason,” and “learn,” their supposed achievements rest on marketing hype & stolen intellectual labor

Tech companies want us to outsource all cognitive labor to their models. Instead, academics must defend universities by barring toxic, addictive AI technologies from classrooms, argue @olivia.science and @irisvanrooij.bsky.social .

Sue the f*ckers and nationalize the plants to retool them to build Canadian cars, buses, ferries, submarines, helicopters, etc. We have to stop subsidizing multi billion dollar companies that keep ripping us off and laughing at our gullibility...that goes for oil companies as well.

The monarchy makes itself more ridiculous with every passing scandal! That it has any support at all says much about British gullibility and susceptibility to propaganda!
Tear down the outdated, unjust, perverted nonsense of monarchy... once and for all.

Ben Shapiro and other MAGA elites are *shocked* that the gutter racists they allied with during the War on Wokeness are also antisemites.
But instead of reflecting on their own culpability and gullibility — they're inventing phrases like "woke right" and "conspiratorial right."

I really do think that it's gullibility and stupidity in equal measure. How else can you look at the mango moron and then say, "He's my type of guy and should be President". I blame your shitty education system and rampant inbreeding.

The gullibility of MAGA is astonishing. While the release of 20 hostages is wonderful, it doesn’t constitute permanent peace in the Middle East. There is a temporary ceasefire but the underlying tensions still remain and are unresolved. After his victory bow, what next?🤷♀️

With the help of conservative media, Trump stokes paranoid fears. Then he exploits paranoid gullibility. Paranoid people reject the obvious, believing in grand deceptions & hidden plots that are obviously crazy to the non-paranoid observors, e.g. nutty ideas like vast armies of paid protestors 1/2
