#Bebop's
Bebop's not really trying to tell a gripping or deep story though, it's "we wanna make a bunch of 25 minute movies and maybe have 5 of them related to each other but mostly it's about having cool fights and the triumph of style over substance".
It's all about the HOW it tells the story, and it's

I know virginity kink is considered tacky these days but i genuinely feel that since all of bebop’s understanding of human sexuality comes from like. Consuming 1940s black and white films. He’d legit be like that’s the thing you have to wait until marriage to do.

Rewatching THE LONG GOODBYE, I am almost certain Elliot Gould's portrayal of Phillip Marlowe was an inspiration for COWBLY BEBOP's Spike Spiegel.

It aired on US TV first, so it was able to get undivided attention. If it cane out later, it would be lost in Cowboy Bebop's shadow.

V.T.'s episode is definitely one of my favorites, for sure!
And I know that feeling, Bebop's got a special way of gettin to people, there's bound to be an episode that has you cryin or sitting in profound silence for a while

...unamusing and uncreative fight scenes like in Jojo, the preachy nonsense of Serial Experiments Lain, the forced romance of Your Name, the choppy and outdated animation style of Spirited Away, a shitty unsatisfying ending a la Death Note, and a poorly-written opening like Cowboy Bebop's.

Cowboy Bebop's is a quite nightmarish neo-noir potatopunk world. Spike's crew too spend much of the series barely subsisting on bell peppers, which is a way of saying living at rock bottom on the veggies one's Japanese parents forced them to eat as a kid.

We don't have Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack playing in the background.

I got a little sad at first when I realized that all of Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack was basically covers of "Caravan", but then I realized it was a Holy Shit, Two Cakes thing:

All of the Berman era Star Trek shows except for Enterprise had satisfying endings. Babylon 5's ending was great. Breaking Bad's ending was fantastic. Cowboy Bebop's is a masterpiece. I've come to respect Battlestar Galactica's ending as well, tho at the time I found it controversial.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

Cowboy Bebop's ending is damn near perfect: It ties up loose ends enough that it doesn't feel unfinished, yet it leaves you wanting more. Same goes for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

I'm a fan of Evangelion's end but that too was kind of a "we did what we could" end but I think it nails the landing

Cowboy Bebop's ending is perfect

Nana's ending is kinda great even though like Freaks and Geeks, it just ends.

NVIDIA just dropped Rubin chips with 5x faster AI performance. While tech giants fight over processing power, Bebop's already using cutting edge tech to make your money move instantly. The future isn't just faster chips, it's smarter finance. 🚀
