I heard you mention Johnny Saucep'n on GTAA and was so pumped. I grew up the only Yankee listening to fruvous.
Shame about Ghomeshi. That drama seemed to kill the fandom.

CD #10, Depeche Mode, 101 disc a (double disc concert album). He's always liked Depeche Mode, so this was thumbs up for both of us. But not enough to listen to both discs back to back so, CD #11 was Moxy Fruvous, Bargainville. (Both while I was driving, so catching up now.)

Just gone and dug out the CD of 'Bargainville' and stuck it on player. Thanks for the reminder. They played on the Fringe but I only saw them play a tunes on a compilation show but that was enough for me. 'My baby loves a bunch of authors' playing just now!

I mean, it's my fault, I gave in and listened to bargainville last night on youtube music and I cannot express how weird it all sounds now. Such a strange mixture of genuine naive fun and deeply annoying political poseurism. Hard to imagine an album like that going platinum today.

I agree! There was a time where Blockbuster and Hollywood Video were still around AND Roger still worked at Video Bargainville, and it felt like you could find a lot of things, and now it's all locked behind subscription services.
