Also a violation of copyright laws

Absolutely summarises my approach to forcibly "licensing" my copyright to LLMs.
I don’t want 0.0000001p. That doesn’t help.

I want you to fuck off.

🚨 The UK government just published a breakdown of the responses to its consultation on AI & copyright:

- 95% of respondents want AI companies to pay for their training data (made up of 88% saying strengthen copyright law, & 7% saying leave it as is)

- Only 3.5% want a new copyright exception for AI training (3% want an exception + opt-out for rights holders, 0.5% an exception with no opt-out)

These results are absolutely overwhelming. The government should rule out a new copyright exception immediately.

Ok so are any of these authors going to sue for copyright infringement or does IP mean absolutely nothing anymore?
December 14, 2025 at 3:12 PM
(Remember the government's 'preferred option', a new copyright exception plus opt-out for rights holders? 3% of respondents went for this.)

looool remember that grossly biased and leading consultation doc on AI and copyright?

The heavily leaned-on preferred Govt option got 3% of the votes.

Cool. A game with no copyright. Resell this freely.

This is probably a copyright violation.

Copyright should be 50 years max. All works of art made before 1975 should be public domain.

Wouldn’t it be priceless that it was copyright law that took down the entire administration?

yet people were okay with killing hip hop.

copyright prevents people from doing a lot of things. that's kind of the intention. 1

Genuine question: Why's the reaction of many politicians to AI 'it's transformational, we must go faster, we can dismiss concerns over energy, copyright, job losses', yet the reaction to a clean tech transition that's more advanced and has less overt downsides is 'steady now, we need to slow down'.

95% of respondents to the government’s consultation on AI and copyright were not in favour of renegotiating copyright in favour of AI companies.

However, the other 5% have been deemed “decent hardworking families”, and the 95% are now not real British people, so that’s a win for the AI lobbyists.
