> "system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility

that's not how anything works they're lying and destroying evidence hope that helps
And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.
ICE Says Critical Evidence In Abuse Case Was Lost In 'System Crash' a Day After It Was Sued
The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."

Do I know anyone in the SC area who knows someone (or *is* someone) who wants to adopt two cats? I desperately need to find a home for my parents' two cats. I already have three, so I can't take them. They are boarding at their vet while I look, and I have to go home to PA in less than a week.

Can artificial intelligence cause medical errors? This MIT researcher shows it can. - The Boston Globe

Usually we'd have a few months run up for an event like this, which would mean time to apply for funding to cover the core costs.

We applied to several and all but one said there simply wasnt enough time.

Biscuit has covered all speaker expenses.

That leaves us still £1000 short. Please donate.

dear brain: do you really have to go with weird humor in dreams?
dream: someone was having a birthday party and someone else gave them a gift with a card that said "most expensive thing i could think of that wasn't jewelry. "

it was a flat of eggs.

a) could be fun
b) is impossible, literally everything is politics
c) disregard b and do it anyway
Okay, lets do this.

One like, one opinion that's not on politics.

everything is all fixed now and. uh. I'll take the excessive heat over the other possibilities.

turns out that the reason the furnace was doing that was because two wires got crossed and were touching each other?
.... the only way to get the heat off was to turn the hot water back off
they got the hot water fixed and the battery replaced.

but now our radiators are blasting heat??
