Hey Rand, how about if all 340 million Americans banded together into a larger group? Then we’d have even more negotiating power!

This is fascism.
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

Another absolutely astonishing piece of journalism from @moreperfectunion.bsky.social . While the content is both shocking & not at all surprising, the scope & depth of reporting is breathtaking. Just incredible work. This is what the news should be. Bari Weiss is a joke compared to this stuff.

The horrific tragedy at Brown University is the 389th mass shooting this year and the 230th gun incident on school grounds so far this year.

This is not normal and we don't have to live this way.

Waiting to hear protests from all the anti-govt conservatives about the Feds combinimg govt databases w/state voting rolls to create a "Citizenship Look-up" tool.

[crickets]

I guess they'll be OK with databases of folks who've bought guns and/or have gun licenses when Dems are in charge.

This is fascism.
Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.

This is fascism.
WOW. @haleaziz.bsky.social with a new scoop: ICE now gets a running list of every person who is going to be taking a domestic flight inside the United States from the TSA and runs it through their database looking for targets. This explains the Babson College student's arrest.

Just think how much owed tax money we could collect from rich folks if the IRS was half as aggressive as NYC's tax collectors.

I like to think it's a level above math-y wishcasting. Math-y ballparking.

Had my annual checkup today. My first time doing it first thing in the morning. Wow.

While I've not had a bad experience at the doctor's office since returning to the US, the attitude, mood & energy level of the staff this early is like night & day from the afternoons. They're downright cheerful.
December 10, 2025 at 4:50 PM
This is just math-y wishcasting at this point, but also totally plausible (if voters stay energized & show up + there are good Dem candidates). State-level wins next year will have absolutely enormous implications when the 2030 census takes place.
December 10, 2025 at 4:35 PM
National media is biased towards federal offices, but all of the Dem wins in local races across the country this year are probably the biggest indicator of what's possible in next year's elections.
Yeah, the Sheriff race was centered around ICE and it wasn't particularly close. The DA race was closer but still a 7-8 point win for the first time a Dem has held that position since, like, the Gilded Age. My township will have a Dem majority for the first time as far as anyone can tell.
