ah yes, vital that we have housing for cars and not people
Here’s the clip of CM Padilla bragging about reducing the size of a 100% affordable housing project in her district and increasing the amount of parking while arguing against the transit oriented upzoning bill SB 79.

CNBC: Do you think Jay Powell should stick around?

MIKE JOHNSON: My opinion is that we should reduce interest rates. The American economy is hot.

CNBC: But if it's too hot, you don't want to cut rates.

This isn't telling AT ALL
As President Trump takes a beating from his own MAGA crowd for his handling of the case of Jeffrey Epstein, his State Department pulled a surprising move: It decimated its office combating human trafficking.
The State Department guts its office combating human trafficking
The cuts come as Trump reels from MAGA anger over sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

I think we should spend less time worrying about how affordable brand new homes are and more time worrying about how affordable existing older homes are.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson, an uber conservative stalwart on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals for decades, just made almost verbatim the same point Justice Sotomayor has been making, most recently in her statement in the Abrego-Garcia case.
Judge Wilkinson: "If today the Executive claims the right to deport without due process and in disregard of court orders, what assurance will there be tomorrow that it will
not deport American citizens and then disclaim responsibility to bring them home?" storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

We've seen videos like this before, but usually when you see a tearful wife pleading with the kidnappers who have taken her husband, she's not talking to the U.S. president
Abrego Garcia's wife: "I will not stop fighting until I see my husband alive. Kilmar, if you can hear me, stay strong. God hasn't forgotten about you. Our children are asking when you will come home ... they miss their dad so much."
