If people can't read, I can spell it out for them: I do in fact think French people should be ready to lose their children to defend Lithuania, as Lithuanians are, in fact, prepared to lose their children to defend France
Fabien Mandon is a Dassault's lobbyist who has no trouble to send weapon to Tsahal. Fabien Mandon is also a right wing's activist who has no issue to say that "we (French ppl) have to loose our kids to war"...

A few people have sent me this piece. It is riddled with outright lies, stuff about Arrow Electronics and NVIDIA (Arrow never mentions NVDA in any earnings docs and has said nothing about stock) and outright falsehoods about Oracle. This is very likely AI generated, written to panic people.

Sorry to keep banging on about it but it's literally *they are on Twitter and think it's the majority view*
This is pretty striking and makes me wonder exactly what Labour have been up to in making policy seemingly in response to / fear of the former rather than the middle group.
Why do people think England flags have been raised on lampposts?

One radical person in an Orthodox church has a much more outsized influence than a Catholic or Protestant church (notwithstanding extremely tiny rural churches). And the idea of a more "hard-line" church appeals greatly to Christian Nationalists.

I have many thoughts about this article that can't be put into a mere 300 characters, but I think a core problem is that, given how small Orthodox churches tend to be, they make for ripe "colonization" targets by far-right radicals.
As an Orthodox Christian, I should have found this article encouraging. But it makes me more...concerned. Faith is not therapy for masculine insecurities.

(If your comment is to trash religion, I'll just block you.)

Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

This great thread makes a point I've been trying to convey for years. Calling all data-driven prediction or decision software "AI" is a huge gift to LLM hypemen, who want people to believe, incorrectly, that LLM data centers are crucial for solar forecasting or operating buildings and power grids.

it is important to remember that while donald j trump is very dumb, peter thiel and his sockpuppet are very dumb, and the colbridge elby-swit titkoff industrial complex is very dumb, the Russian Federation are actually even more stupid, in that they literally won't even take chances for Ws

it's actually truly amazing how trump and putin are both so dumb that the former keeps trying to stab ukraine in the back for him and the latter keeps saying "no"

Russia rejected their own peace plan?
Russia flat out rejects Trump's 28-point peace plan: "Even in a reduced military and territorial form, Ukraine would remain a significant danger, requiring us to keep our forces on the western borders."

Please retweet this. It is not good for this sort of misinformation to spread as wide as it already has.
okay this image is weird. when i pasted it in gimp the artifacts became a lot less noticeable. same thing when i move my browser window to a different monitor. but yeah i bumped the exposure on the image to make the editing much more clear

So Bezos is in them too then?
The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

I think it’s bad that ai allows people to pretend to live in completely separate realities so they don’t have to process news and events that make them uncomfortable. I think that is bad for the health of society!
Trump supporters are also making shitty AI videos of Trump arresting Mamdani in the Oval Office.

They don't know how to process what just happened in real life, so they're making the version they prefer with AI.

This is why I hate whenever people lump smart home shit in with AI. You can make the Breakfast Machine from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure in your house run totally locally and securely entirely from parts sourced from AliExpress and GitHub repos.
❌ Smart home stuff sucks why do you need to make a toaster have Bluetooth who asked for this
✅ someone on GitHub found a way to make your rice machine send you push notifications to tell you it’s done inferred entirely by how much power it’s consuming
