Well, there’s your mistake. Trump is not your friend, and deals with Trump are meaningless because he will tear them up or ignore them whenever it suits him. Kinda like he does with our laws and Constitution.

ChongLy "Scott" Thao lives in St. Paul and is a U.S. citizen.

He's 56, just a couple of years older than me.

It was around 0 degrees Fahrenheit in St. Paul yesterday.

His neighbors fixed his door after ICE broke it down.

While the world is engaged in heated debates — both on and offline — about the legality of Donald Trump’s January 3 military airstrikes in Venezuela, relatives and friends are fighting for the full release of loved ones from unjust imprisonment in the South American country.
The peacemakers: Meet Venezuelans who are fighting to free political detainees
In Venezuela, relatives and human-rights NGOs have stepped up calls for the immediate release of more than 800 victims of politically-motivated persecution of the government formerly led by Nicolás Maduro.

Christ, Dems, now is NOT THE TIME to fundraise for your own damn campaigns. Use your profile and power to amplify calls for mutual aid, or to boost the efforts of the organizations on the ground. Your communities need you so show us that you know how to show up. For US. Not for yourselves.

Remember this.

No one — certainly not the ICE agents themselves — is even really bothering with the pretext that they’re here to make the city safer. This is Donald Trump’s revenge campaign, and they’re the foot soldiers. www.theverge.com/policy/86419...
It’s worse than it looks in Minneapolis
But locals are organizing to keep each other safe from ICE agents.

If you're one of the 188 Republicans and 153 Democrats who voted last week to send $3.3B more in military and bombs to Netanyahu as he commits genocide, do not be quoting Dr. MLK this week, who specifically condemned the triple evils of racism, poverty, and militarism.

Reprehensible hypocrisy.

Solar wind data are turning a bit sour for extreme low-latitude aurora for the U.S., but the system is still pumped up enough for Europe!

Despite Trump’s promises, grocery prices are still rising fast. Families can’t afford this… when is he going to get serious about lowering costs?

The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

Disabled people don’t survive without community care. So for us to be considered worth surviving, that’s building a world where we all survive by supporting each other.
It should click for you how many who ask for mutual aid online are disabled. Disabled people are likely to be in poverty & isolation. Disability makes life under capitalism precarious. That’s why disability justice is intertwined with getting rid of capitalism & why mutual aid is disability justice.
